The event organizers are pleased to announce that the proceeds from the Officer Naim Memorial Run event were donated to maintain the scholarship funds established in Jim's name at the Community College of Beaver County and Geneva College; and “assist in the rebuilding of the lives of survivors of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty…” through a donation to Concerns Of Police Survivors, Inc. (COPS), and a portion dedicated to a permanent memorial. We were also able to donate monies to help provide police dogs with bullet-proof vest through Pennies To Protect Police Dogs, Inc. As well as helping to build our future leaders through donations to support camps for children.
Jim graduated from the Police Academy at the Community College of Beaver County in 1995. At the time of his death on March 15, 2001 he was due to graduate from the Degree Completion Program at Geneva College. His wife received his diploma posthumously at the commencement ceremony.

The James W. Naim Scholarship Fund. This scholarship at Geneva, is the first endowed scholarship to provide financial assistance to students in the Degree Completion program.
To date BRAVE Riders through The Officer Naim Memorial Run has donated:
$70,000 in scholarship money (Beneficiaries listed above)
$15,000 to the COPS organization
$12,000 towards a memorial (In escrow pending definitive plans)
$1,000 towards bullet-proof vest
$1,725 towards helping to build our future leaders.
